The Bay Area Cool Down is a half-day climate literacy festival that brings together community around good food and good music, to support students and teachers bringing climate solutions into schools and classrooms. Taking place at The Starry Plough, this celebration will feature:
Outdoor music & bluegrass jam (early afternoon)
Climate literacy workshops & youth-led sessions
Live Community Art: A large-scale, participatory art installation led by acclaimed artist Sukey Bryan, where community members of all ages can add their voices and creativity to a collective climate artwork.
Vegetarian food Truck & community tabling (10% Discounts on vegetarian and vegan meals)

Main audience is educators and youth, community based orgs and the climate curious.

Late night Dancing
All proceeds will directly support climate action projects and climate literacy work led by teachers and students in the Bay Area, including BAYCS (Bay Area Youth Climate Summit), OTACA (Oakland Teachers Advancing Climate Action), and the East Bay Climate Literacy Exchange.
