Looking for something fun that you and your family can all enjoy? The Starry Plough Pub welcomes people of all ages until 10pm when the kitchen closes at which point the pub becomes 21+. Luckily, we have plenty of shows that you can attend with your young ones!
Last Sundays: Music with Sara Jayne & Friends
- 12pm-1:30pm on the last Sunday of every month
- Join us for a heartwarming session of music and laughter at The Starry Plough every last Sunday of the month, where the wonderful Sara Jayne, an incredible music teacher for young children, hosts an enchanting music performance for young children and their families.
- Sara will fill the air with melodies that promise to delight children and families alike.
- This is a perfect opportunity to spend quality time with your little ones, singing along and dancing to the rhythm of Sara’s captivating performances!

3rd Sundays: Kids & Beginners Irish Session
- 4pm-5pm on the 3rd Sunday of every month
- An Irish session featuring slower songs for kids & beginners

These weekly “matinees” are fun and free for the whole family and all happen during the time of day when the pub welcomes people of all ages!
1st Saturdays: Out of Towners
- 4pm-6pm on the 1st Saturday of every month.
- The Out of Towners are a Bay Area Band playing an eclectic mix of Blues, Swing, Americana & originals featuring vocal harmonies and danceable rhythms.

2nd Saturdays: Bluegrass Jam
- 4-6pm on the 2nd Saturday of every month
- All skill levels welcome to participate!
- Presented by The Baygrass Collective, an open bluegrass and folk jam community in the Bay Area
- All levels of players and singers are welcome
- Come listen, drink, talk, dance, play, and sing
- Free!
3rd Saturdays: Old Time Shred Sesh
- 4-6pm on the 3rd Saturday of every month
- This is a hosted onion jam, which means there’s a core group that stays tight in the middle, so the groove is never compromised. All are welcome to join in the layers around the core group.
- The host fiddler has the prerogative to call all the tunes if they like. It’s an opportunity for others to play that fiddler’s repertoire!
- The Shred Sesh is different from the other public jam sessions. It’s a great opportunity for intermediate players to feel and get on the old-time train! And for folks to hear some great driving old-time string band music!

4th Saturdays: The Squeeze Variety with Rocksteady Berletti Show & Jam
- 4pm-6pm on the 4th Saturday of every month
- Accordion | Zydeco | & So Much More
- Join us for Accordion Magic every month at The Starry Plough!
- Craig Berletti, local accordion genius, will be joined by various equally musically talented friends for a Zydeco show & an open circle jam. Come watch, listen, play music, play darts, play games with my heart, eat fish n chips. Wherever Craig is involved, it’s bound to be a blast.
- This is a free show! Cash/digital tips for musicians are always greatly appreciated!
1st Sundays: East Bay Swing Jam
- 3pm-5pm on the 1st Sunday of every month
- Come with your guitar, fiddle, mandolin, bass, clarinet, and other acoustic instruments and play tunes from the Great American Songbook, Western Swing, Gypsy Jazz, etc.
- Open to all musicians and singers and anyone who wants to listen or dance to Swing music.
