Voted the Bay Area’s Best Open Mic Night for 2 decades since the mid nineties! Every Tuesday, the Starry Plough’s award-winning open mic with hosts Johnny Mitro & Sara Jayne. Sign Ups begin at 7:30pm, show starts at 8:00pm. No cover!
- Each performer gets 1 song/performance or 5 minutes, whichever comes first.
- No comedians (LOL just kidding) Comedians are spaced out between other performers to not have multiple comedians in a row.
- Musicians, singers, rappers, comedians, dancers, poets and more all welcome!
- No nudity!
- Please no drums, no instruments that take too long to set up.
- Set up time counts as part of your performance time.
- You can plug your phone into our sound system if you need backup music. We have a standard aux cable and a dongle for iphones. If you need a different dongle, please bring it.
- We can plug your instruments into our house system.
- If you are under 21 wanting to perform, let the hosts know so they cab make sure to get you in before the pub becomes 21+ when the kitchen closes at 10pm.
- Lottery system for signups. Performers will sign up on list and then names will be pulled to determine the order.
- Names are drawn at 8:00pm. AS your name is drawn you can sign up for any available slot. If your name is drawn later you will most likely be performing towards the end of the night.
- Everyone who enters before sign-ups end WILL get to perform! ABSOLUTELY no sign-ups after 8pm!
