East Bay Americana night featuring The Dogweeds, Ruby Lee Hill, and Adam Tell June
The Dogweeds
draw inspiration from the Western Swing dance bands of the 1930s and 40s, but with a modern take that is rooted firmly in the present. Blazing instrumentals and honest, soulful vocal harmonies meet dance-inspiring grooves in a sound that’s both unique and familiar. Genre bending originals add elements of country, jazz, blues, vintage pop, and folk, while dazzling new arrangements bring old classics and deep cuts back to life.
Ruby Lee Hill
Driving, heartfelt, and honest, Ruby’s songs share rich, evocative stories of love and loss, interwoven with the classic honky tonk themes of infidelity, misogyny, and vulnerability. A vocalist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, people are always impressed to learn that the song they just heard her sing is not a traditional classic but, in fact, a Ruby Lee Original.
Adam Tell June
is an SF Bay Area based singer songwriter and founding member of the American Roots Rock band Tell River
